Roberto Whitaker

Dancer

A Puerto Rican descendant native of Richmond, VA. He graduated from Clover Hill HS and is currently studying at John Tyler Community College to obtain his Associate of Arts (A.A.) degree in Theatre Arts Specialization. His talents are dancing and writing. He has been dancing since the age of 9, performing in the dance group, B.O.M.B S.Q.U.A.D (a dance ministry at Saint Paul's Baptist church). He has worked with the Sisterly Grace modern dance company, performed a Marionnete/Hip-Hop number with Ami Dowden-Fant of River City Dance Theatre for Casino Night at St. Benedictine High, has auditioned for MonnMax Productions for Cedar Fair Parks and worked as a vocal performer/entertainer at Kings Dominion's Halloween Haunt for the Doll Factory (maze), and has competed with the National Champion Jazz Show Choir, New Dimensions. He also has out of state experience with dancing, for he has taken Dance Hall and Reggae dance style classes in Montego Bay, Jamaica. Roberto has taught Hip Hop workshops at Virginia Commonwealth University, County Wide, Dogtown Dance Theatre and River City Dance Theatre. He joined the Latin Ballet this season, and has been a great addition to our company since.
