Alexa Gajeton

Alexa Gajeton (she/her) is a Filipino-American artist who was born and raised in Virginia Beach. She spent much of her adolescence competing nationally as a rhythmic gymnast before discovering her passion for dance at the age of 9. This led her to train and perform at local studios.

Alexa earned her B.F.A. in Dance with a minor in Psychology from Point Park University, where she was part of the Conservatory Dance Company. During her time there, she performed works by celebrated choreographers such as Nacho Duato, Martha Graham, Yin Yue, Sidra Bell, and Christopher Huggins. Alexa also pursued additional training through summer intensives, including those at Houston Contemporary Dance Company, Open Space Dance, NW Dance Project, San Francisco Conservatory of Dance, and Point Park University's International Summer Dance Program.

Currently based in Richmond, Virginia, Alexa is a founding member of Conflux Dance Theater, where she has performed works by Norbert De La Cruz, Stephanie Martinez, Yusha Sorzano, Miguel Perez, and Angelica Burgos. Additionally, she has danced with Washington National Opera, the Atlanta Opera, and has appeared in various commercials.
