Glen Lewis

Dancer/Faculty

 Dancer, choreographer, educator, and Virginia native Glen Lewis joined the Latin Ballet of Virginia in 2020 after spending eight seasons as a performer and choreographer with Newport, RI's contemporary ballet company Island Moving Company. During his time with IMC, Glen premiered four of his own works nationally and internationally. Glen received his training at Richmond Ballet, Alvin Ailey, and the Nederlands Dans Theater. He graduated from VCU with a B.F.A in Dance and Choreography and was awarded Outstanding Choreographer for 2009. Glen has also worked with Untitled Collective, Company Danzante, choreographer Kyoko Ruch, and The Latin Ballet. He has had the wonderful opportunity to perform at the Kennedy Center, Jacobs Pillow, several stages in Kazakhstan, and all over the US. Glen’s career as an educator includes serving as adjunct Ballet faculty for Salve Regina University and teaching master classes across Rhode Island, Massachusetts, and Virginia. Glen is excited to return to Richmond to share his experience with students and audiences.
