Genworth Lights Up! Youth Series at Perkinson Center
Featuring Latin Ballet of Virginia
The Genworth Lights Up! Youth Series is on the road, bringing free arts experiences to youth and families across the region. This traveling series offers youth of all ages the opportunity to participate in hands-on workshops and experience performances by local arts organizations in community centers and schools.
On January 31, 2026, the series will take place at the Perkinson Center for the Arts and Education, featuring a 10:00 AM performance by Latin Ballet of Virginia, followed by two free workshops. Workshops are open to the public, and pre-registration is not required but encouraged.
All workshops are FREE and designed to be welcoming, engaging, and accessible for participants of all ages and experience levels.
Important Information for Families:
All Richmond Performing Arts Alliance (RPAA) representatives and Lights Up! volunteers will be wearing name tags and are available to assist throughout the event. Parents or guardians must remain on site for students age 13 or younger. Students should remain inside the building at all times and only leave with their assigned caretakers. If a student is 14 or older and dropped off, parents or guardians must return by 12:30 PM for pickup.
Waiting parents and guardians are welcome to observe workshops, space permitting. Parents of children ages 3–6 are asked to participate alongside their child during workshops.
