What is AGUAS?

AGUAS is a family-oriented dance-theater production celebrating history, culture and the James River natural treasures. AGUAS honors the commemoration of the end of the war and the freedom of all enslaved African American people.

"THE JAMES RIVER IN RICHMOND" is a 2023 book written by John Bryan that not only celebrates the history and beauty of the James River in Richmond, Virginia, but also provides a guide to its recreational opportunities. It provides readers with a special appreciation for the river and its significance to the city of Richmond. The book touches on a wide range of topics: from geology and ecology to native and contemporary residents, from accessibility and advocacy to preservation and responsibility. The book is filled with photographs that showcase the natural beauty of the James River and its users. The book's special theme is the abundance of recreational use that the James River offers: hiking and biking, paddling and climbing, swimming and fishing, and on and on - much of which takes place in the beloved James River Park.
