Pamela González

Administrative Assistant to the Executive Director

Pamela will be working at Latin Ballet as an Administrative Assistant to the Executive Director, as well as focusing on marketing development. She is looking forward to her future project of helping translate the Latin Ballet website to Spanish and making it friendlier for familias que tambien hablan Español! She attended Virginia Commonwealth University, where she received her double major: Bachelors of Arts in International Relations with a concentration in Social Justice, and her second major being in Spanish. Between her sophomore and junior year of college, she decided to put a pause on her studies and participated in doing a service year by joining a nonprofit called NET Ministries. She traveled around the country with a team of 10 young adults, stopping in a different city every other day, holding retreats for youth in middle and high school.  After she returned to finish her studies, she spent one semester abroad practicing her Spanish in Granada, Spain, attending the Universidad de Granada. As a student she was involved in a wide variety of clubs and organizations, spending time volunteering at George W. Carver Elementary School with their Carver Promise program, was an active member of VCU’s Student Government Organization, and eventually involved as Vice President of both Students for Life at VCU and Students for Social Action at VCU.  Her focus and drive has revolved around individual and community development, and she feels fortunate to have recently become a part of the Latin Ballet familia!
