Guest Choreographer / Artistic Director of Flamenco Vivo

Antonio Hidalgo Paz career began in Cordoba, Spain. In 1984 became a member of Spanish Ballet Carmen Mota. Produced several works including Fiesta de Andalucia in Spain and Palais des Beux Arts in Brussels. Performed internationally as principal dancer with the Ballets of Antonio Gades, Jose Greco, Tablao Flamenco in Japan and Maria Benitez’ Estampa Flamenca. Frequent appearances on international television. Has performed with his own dance company in Japan and Spain. Worked with Flamenco Vivo 1998 to 2018. Original works premiered to great acclaim at the Joyce Theater in NY. Currently co-producing work with Jorge Navarro, Los Hombres and Lord of the Miners in NY and El Cristo de Los Flamencos in Albuquerque. Received the 2007 Premio Andaluz de Turismo in Spain for artistic excellence. Has collaborated with LBV since 2010 producing original works such as “El Pintor,” which won the Bronze Telly Award in 2015.
