Antonio Hidalgo Paz career began in Cordoba, Spain. In 1984 became a member of Spanish Ballet Carmen Mota as a principal dancer. He has produced several works including Fiesta de Andalucia in Spain and Palais des Beux Arts in Brussels. Antonio has performed internationally as principal dancer with the Ballets of Antonio Gades, Jose Greco, Tablao Flamenco in Japan and Maria Benitez’ Estampa Flamenca. He has frequent appearances on international television, performing with his own dance company in Japan, Spain and the United States. Antonio worked with Flamenco Vivo as Artistic Director Associated and principal dancer from 1998 to 2018. His original works premiered to great acclaim at the Joyce Theater in NY. Currently he is co-producing with Jorge Navarro of Culture Center St. Veronica, with Ana Ines King of Latin Ballet of Virginia and Antonio Granjero of EntreFlamenco. His works of Los Hombres and Lord of the Miners in NY and El Cristo de Los Flamencos in Albuquerque have been highly acclaimed with excellent reviews. Antonio received the 2007 Premio Andaluz de Turismo in Spain for his artistic excellence. He has collaborated with LBV since 2010 producing original works such as “El Pintor,” which won the Bronze Telly Award in 2015.
